A MINI GRID project to distribute electricity to more than 40 villages in Magway Region has initiated at a place between Chindwin and Ayeyawady rivers, according to a report of the Myawady Daily issued on Wednesday. The mini grid project, a non-profitable electrification project, is being implemented by Parami Energy Group of Company for the purpose of public welfare and regional development with the approval of Magway Region government, said its manager U Aung Myo Shein.

Teachers see no boundaries as long as there is peace and security

Basic education schools in Maungtaw District, Rakhine State, that were closed due to attacks of ARSA extremist terrorists on 25 August this year were reopened in September end. The Ministry of Education is implementing a plan to extend up to 300 schools in the district at the end of this month. Teachers are staying at a temporary hostel and teaching lessons at the nearby schools. Teachers were interviewed to express their difficulties and challenges in their work.

Introduction
The ASEM11-Summit was held 15-16 July 15, 2016, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Present at the summit were 51 Heads of State and Government from ASEM partner countries, as well as the ASEAN Secretariat and the European Union. The delegation led by U Htin Kyaw, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, a partner country attended the summit.

ASEM was founded on 1 March 1996. The body was formed at the ASEAN-EU Summit which was also participated by the People’s Republic of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea. The venue of the Summit was Bangkok, Thailand.

After the terrorist attacks by ARSA in Yathedaung, Maungtaw and Buthidaung townships in Rakhine State, many Islamic people from local villages have fled to Bangladesh. However there are some Islamic people who have remained in their villages and continue to live and work there peacefully. The media group interviewed some of the Islamic people who remained and the village leaders on the challenges that they face and the possible reasons some Islamic people have fled abroad.

This declaration was announced at the 11th ASEM held in the capital city of Mongolia on 15-16 July 2016 as the 20th anniversary of the founding of the body. So the declaration reflects the past, the present the future of ASEM. The overarching theme of the 11th ASEM was “20 Years of ASEM: Partnership for the Future through Connectivity.”
