School, self-help, fiction, non-fiction books sold in Yangon Book Street

Yangon Book Street (Saturday-Sunday Book Street) was quiet early in the day, but began to come to life with book lovers and fans in the afternoon.

Yangon Book Street consist of about 170 book stall selling books on various subjects, fictions, non-fiction, new/old novels, religion, education, health, social, culture, medical, dictionaries, encyclopedias, astrology, school text books as well as sports shirts and T-shirts with Myanmar words printed on and bags.
Under the books and literature development programme of the Ministry of Information (MOI), the Saturday-Sunday Book Street is jointly organised by the MOI, Yangon Region Government and Yangon City Development Committee.
This second Yangon Book Street (Saturday-Sunday Book Street) is held on Theinbyu Street in front of the Minister’s Office (Secretariat) and on Anawrahta Street in front of the Central Press Building, News and Periodical Enterprise, Yangon branch office.
