Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant received Ambassador of India to Myanmar Mr Abhay Thakur at the reception hall of the Ministry of Construction, in Nay Pyi Taw, yesterday.
They discussed the
continued implementation of transport sector cooperation between Myanmar and
India under the existing friendly relations, including Quick Impact Project
(QIP) projects being implemented with Indian assistance.
They also exchanged
views on ways to support road and bridge upgrading within the existing
framework to promote border trade, accelerate and facilitate the flow of goods,
and contribute to the socioeconomic development of local communities and the
tourism sector.
