Hybrid Rice, Soybean Training Launches in Nay Pyi Taw

 

A 45-day technical training course aimed at enhancing Myanmar’s agricultural sector and increasing food production capacity was launched in Nay Pyi Taw on 23 September for 62 agricultural officers and technicians. The course is jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce of China (MOFCOM) and Myanmar’s Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, with Yuan Longping High-Tech Agriculture Co, Ltd responsible for conducting the training.

The course will provide detailed training in hybrid rice technologies, soybean genetics and hybrid breeding, modern seed production methods and agricultural technologies needed to increase crop yields.

Chinese Embassy Counsellor Mr Ouyang Daobing said China would help enhance Myanmar’s food production capacity by sharing its experience in agriculture and hybrid rice technology.
