A specialist medical team from Meiktila 200-bed People’s Hospital provided healthcare services to residents of Thazi Township, Meiktila District, Mandalay Region, on 31 July.
The medical
outreach team, led by hospital medical superintendent Dr Win Min Thiri and
comprising specialists from various fields, conducted examinations and
treatments at Thazi People’s Hospital.
Patients from
urban wards and nearby villages received medical care with the support of Thazi
Township Medical Services Department Head Dr Sai Zeya Myo and healthcare staff.
A total of 698 patients were treated, including 154 general medicine cases, 45
surgical cases, 66 orthopaedic cases, 59 obstetrics and gynaecology cases, 23
paediatric cases, 150 eye disease cases, 58 musculoskeletal cases, 47 dental
cases, 30 ear, nose and throat (ENT) cases, and 66 dermatology cases.
Among the
patients, 24 people requiring further treatment — including 12 general medicine
patients, one child patient, five surgical patients, five orthopaedic patients
and one obstetrics and gynaecology patient — were referred to Meiktila General
Hospital (200-bed) for continued care.
