COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF of Defence Services General Ye Win Oo comforted Tatmadaw members, Myanmar Police Force members and people’s militia who are receiving medical treatment for their injuries sustained in serving State security and defence duties, at the local Tatmadaw hospital in PyinOoLwin Station, Mandalay Region, yesterday.
The General inquired
individually about their injuries, medical treatment and health conditions, and
provided them with food items and cash awards.
Daw Nilar, the wife of
the General, and party gave words of encouragement to pregnant women and babies
of mothers at the Maternal and Infant Ward and presented foodstuffs.
The General inspected
the progress in construction of the war veteran housing in PyinOoLwin.
The
Quartermaster-General and the Adjutant-General reported on expanded
construction of war veteran housing in financial years, settlement of war
veterans and families and work progress.
In response, the
General gave instructions on timely completion of buildings meeting standards,
systematic supervision for construction tasks, calculation for construction of
high-rise buildings to have resilience to natural disasters, settlement of war veterans
and families, and provision of basic foodstuffs and furniture for settled war
veterans and families.
The General and party
viewed the efforts to provide basic foodstuffs, utensils and household
furniture for the convenience of war veterans and families to be settled at the
housing, and attended to the needs of those families.
