A Thai delegation led by Ambassador Mr Tor Saralamba paid a courtesy call on Vice-President U Nyo Saw at the President’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
During the meeting,
both sides exchanged views on convening bilateral talks and a business forum
during the President’s official visit to Thailand, as well as on the signing of
agreements and memoranda of understanding aimed at delivering tangible benefits
to both nations and their peoples.
They also frankly
discussed political progress, efforts in development undertakings, and close
cooperation in bilateral relations, economics, trade, investment and energy
sectors between Myanmar and Thailand, as well as prospects of these sectors.
Also present at the
meeting were Deputy Minister at the President’s Office U Khin Latt, Deputy
Minister for Foreign Affairs U Ko Ko Kyaw, and officials. Officials from the
Thai Embassy accompanied the Thai ambassador.
