The Myanmar Government emphasizes the elimination of online scams and gambling, which harm not only the international community but also the wider world, as a national duty.

To ensure such activities gain no foothold in the country, it is actively conducting suppression operations in coordination not only with domestic forces but also with the governments of neighbouring countries.

Security forces detained seven Chinese nationals involved in online scams and gambling operations, and seized 50 mobile phones, two all-in-one computers, one laptop, two motorbikes and related items from a house in Kaunghmutong Ward, Muse Township, Shan State (North), yesterday.

Those involved will face legal action following a thorough investigation.
