The training-of-trainers (TOT) legal courses organized by the Yangon Region Advocate-General’s Office for law officers at General Administration Department offices across the region entered their fourth day yesterday.
Twelve
legal subjects were taught in all 14 districts. Yangon Region Advocate-General
Daw Phyu Mar Wai, Yangon Region Law Officer U Nyunt Lwin and officials from the
Region Advocate-General’s Office inspected training sessions in Kyauktan,
Khayan, Thongwa, Twantay and Shwepyitha townships.
The
courses aim to enable law officers to promote legal awareness among ward and
village administrators. Topics include the Constitution of the Republic of the
Union of Myanmar and laws relating to narcotic drugs and psychotropic
substances. The training runs until 26 June.
In
the afternoon, the Advocate-General and her team inspected pilot law office
