Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant inspected the construction site of the Myanmar-Korea Friendship Bridge (Dala) yesterday.
The Union minister heard the
reports on the completion of the approach bridges on the Yangon side and Dala
side, installation of apparatus for cable, Ramp B and Ramp A on the Yangon side
and other construction-related matters, including the construction of Toll
Plaza and Administrative Office on the Dala side and a proper fee collection
system.
After hearing the reports, the
Union minister highlighted the need to ensure the road direction signals for
safety, cooperation with YCDC, timely completion, proper waterflow system,
protection for pier due to water current, installation of speed Bumps and other
traffic safety measures.
The Union minister also inspected
the installation of the Noise Barrier on each side of the approach bridge along
Phonegyi street on the Yangon side, the establishment of the Barrier, the
construction of the Toll Plaza and Administrative Office on the Dala side.
