Drugs seized in various townships

 



ACCORDING to the Myanmar Police Force, drugs were seized in various townships including Tatkon, Kyaikto and Namsang.

A combine squad from anti-narcotic unit of the Myanmar Police Force inspected a motorbike driven by Aung Zaw Min (aka) Aung Min near Thaphanchaung Village in Tatkon Township on 2 November and seized 9,750 tablets of stimulant drugs.

On 1 November, another team also inspected a Toyota Passo driven by Aye Min Paing near Mayanchaung Village in Kyaikto Township and seized a total of 200,000 tablets of stimulant drugs.

Again on 2 November, the team also inspected the house of Ye Yint Aung located in Ward 4 in Namsang and seized 1,400 stimulant tablets. Consequently, the team also inspected the house of Myo Win Tun (aka) Ko Lin in Ward 4 and the house of Ma Yee located in Villate-tract 5 and seized 6,000 tablets and 4,200 tablets respectively.

Moreover, the Myanmar Police Force reported that there were seizures of drugs in the townships of Thazi, Kengtung and Tachilek.

At 10:10 pm on 31 October, a combined squad including police from Mandalay Region Police Force inspected Sithu Htaik, Thiha Aung and Myo Min Oo along with a Light Truck near Seikpyoyay village in Thazi Township and seized 90,000 stimulant pills.

One more combined squad checked a motorcycle driven by Ar Gyo near Hongpan Village of Kengtung Township at 2:25 pm on 1 November. They seized 2,000 stimulant tablets.

Another combined team inspected a motorcycle near Mongphon village-tract, Tachilek Township, at 2.30 pm on 1 November and nabbed 10,000 stimulant pills. Offenders were prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
