THE malicious media spread fake news on social networks, claiming that the security forces torched Kanpya village and that 25 houses were destroyed near Debayin Township in Sagaing Region.
According to
a security official, the security forces conducted security measures after
receiving the report from locals that the PDF terrorists arrived near Kanpya
village. During the security operations, a clash between security forces and
terrorists broke out, and the terrorists burned down the houses while
retreating.
Due to
public participation, destructive actions by PDF terrorists were blocked in
time, and the malicious media circulated the fake news.
