False claims of forced recruitment in Bogale Township dismissed by officials

 

SUBVERSIVE media outlets are spreading false information that more than 40 youths from Bogale Township in the Ayeyawady Region have been forcefully recruited for military service.

However, an officer from the Bogale Township recruitment office has dismissed this claim as fake news. He stated that these malicious reports are designed to instil fear and deceive the public.

The officer also noted that state-owned media are providing information about the People’s Military Services Law, and local authorities are explaining the law in their respective townships. Contact numbers for the township recruitment offices have been published in the dailies so that people can inquire if they have any questions.
