Rectors’ New Year wishes for 2024

IN the New Year of 2024, I wish all the people of the world and all citizens of Myanmar to be healthy, prosperous, happy and peaceful.

At the time of the New Year, I wish the people of Myanmar good health and prosperity. For students, getting knowledge is the most important thing in education. So, I wish them to become capable people who can contribute to the development and prosperity of the country when they have finished their studies at the universities.

Dr Kay Thwe Hlaing (Rector, Yangon University of Education)

May all the citizens of Myanmar and all the people of the world be free from all disasters from the time of the New Year 2024.

May they also be free from five types of enemies. May they be healthy and happy and fulfill their wishes.

May all students be able to learn all the subjects they should learn. I wish that they can continue to study safely to become good citizens who can serve their country.

Dr Kyi Shwin (Rector, Yangon University of Foreign Languages)

In the New Year, may all the students pursuing education have the ability to achieve their goals in life. The world needs more peace and development, so I wish to get it as soon as possible. I also wish for our country to be peaceful and prosperous.

Dr Nay Win Oo (Rector, The University of East Yangon)

On this auspicious occasion of the New Year, may all citizens of Myanmar live a peaceful and prosperous life. Since schools will start opening in the New Year, I wish that all the students are healthy, happy and have a chance to learn their favorite subjects. May they be successful in social science and sports in addition to the various subjects taught by the university. I also wish that they will be able to do their best for the benefit of the country.
