Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, as Chairman of the Organizing Committee on Youth and Literary Fine Arts Festival, and Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Tung, accompanied by Deputy Minister U Ye Tint and relevant officials participated in the final day of the festival yesterday.
First, the Union Ministers viewed the photos depicting Myanmar’s traditional cultures and stunning places across the country at the “Beautiful and Pleasant Myanmar” booth. They also viewed round the booths of ministries concerned and MRTV and watched the visitors who donated voices for the schools for the blind at MRTV’s studio.
They then enjoyed the entertainment programmes of MRTV and ethnic traditional dance groups.
The festival was organized from 20 to 22 December, aiming at sharpening the intelligibility and critical thinking of youths, motivating the young people to read books and publications, know the advantages of literature, uplift patriotic spirit, prestige and integrity through literature and fine arts, adore the independence of the nation with the knowledge of independence struggle and sufferings in the colonial era, enjoy peace, stability and beautifying scenes of the country with development activities as well as panoramic rural scenes to have the soul for adoring the relevant regions and states, and quickly know endeavours of relevant ministries through the displays of booths at the event.
