Speaking at the event, Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn said that science and technology are growing too fast, and the news spread swiftly without delays. Some online media outlets follow media ethics, but some intentionally spread false information to cause political disagreement and raise tension.
When journalists, media and online users from developing countries, including Myanmar, are weak in considering the danger of propaganda, the online media, Myanmar Digital News, was launched on 11 January 2018 to provide the citizens and world countries with trustworthy information and the nation’s progress.
The Union minister also highlighted the online version of Myanmar Digital News (MDN), such as Digital Newspaper and News Portal, and expressed Myanmar Digital News receives techrelated equipment gratitude to Megalink Advanced Technologies Co Ltd for donating technical equipment.
The Union minister presented certificates of honour to Megalink Advanced Technologies Co Ltd officials and concluded the ceremony.
