OVER K900 million worth 8.4 kilogrammes of Happy Water was seized in Tachileik Township, eastern Shan State, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
A combined team consisted of members of Drug Enforcement Division searched Sai Oo Maung who arrived at Wainkyauk ward in Tachileik by motorcycle due to information at 8:30 pm on 31 March. Officials seized 8.4 kilogrammes Happy Water worth K900 million from him.
According to the investigation, it was found that the seized Happy Water was brought from Tahley city in eastern Shan State to Tachileik City and distributed to young people during the Myanmar traditional Thingyan festival. The crime offenders are under investigation.
