67th Anniversary of Kayin State Day marked


THE 67th Anniversary of Kayin State Day was marked at the lawn of the Kayin State government office yesterday morning, attend­ed by members of the State Ad­ministration Council Mahn Nyein Maung and Saw Daniel, Union ministers, the chief minister of Kayin State, the commander of South-East Command, rep­resentatives of Karen National Union (KNU), Karen National Union/Karen National Liberation Army (KNU/KNLA), Democratic Karen Benevolent Army (DKBA), Kayin State Border Guard Force (BGF), political parties and local people.

SAC member Mahn Nyein Maung read the message sent by SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing to the 67th Anniversary of Kayin State Day ceremony and the chief minister of Kayin State extended greetings.

Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung and Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan presented 100 sets of 90W solar panels and sports equipment to the chief minister.

The opening ceremony of the Kayin State Day commem­orative archway and exhibition followed. They then released 67 white doves in commemoration of the Kayin State Day.

They visited the exhibition to view round domestic products and MSME products at the ex­hibition and presented prizes of best fruits to respective winners.
