COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF
of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and party left Lao People’s
Democratic Republic, Wattay International Airport yesterday morning and were
welcomed on arrival at Nay Pyi Taw by Tatmadaw Deputy Commander-in-Chief and Commander-in-Chief
(Army) Vice Senior General Soe Win, Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy and Air)
General Mya Tun Oo, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San,
Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw, high ranking officers from
Commander-in-Chief Office, Lao Assistant Military Attache Lt-Col Latsamy
Keomixay and officials.
Later
in the afternoon, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min
Aung Hlaing received Chief of Royal Thai Navy Admiral Luechai Ruddit at
Zeyathiri Beikman, Nay Pyi Taw.
During
the meeting matters relating to requirements to increase friendship between the
two armed forces, conducting friendly sports competitions and cultural
exchanges, requirement to conduct joint trainings to assist in the event of
natural disaster, cooperation among ASEAN navies, exchanging friendly visits of
naval vessels and exchanging experiences were discussed according to news
released by the office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services.
