Coordination meeting to continue emergency healthcare provided in the flooded
areas was held yesterday at the Ministry of Health and Sports (MHS) in Nay Pyi
Taw. During the meeting, matters related to continuing of emergency healthcare
in the flooded areas of Kayin and Mon states and Bago and Taninthayi regions
were coordinated.
Matters
related to adding of emergency medicines, including snake antidotes and medical
equipment, gathering data and reconstruction of destroyed buildings by flood,
making preparedness in the possible areas of flooding, medicines and medical
equipment storage and other requirements were also discussed at the meeting.
Ministry of Health and Sports is carrying out their rescue activities by
conducting temporary clinics and forming mobile medical teams. In addition,
medical treatments, transferring patients, inspections of infectious diseases,
managing on water and environmental clearance and healthcare education are also
being implemented by the MHS.
