The
second day of roundtable meetings concerning the third session of the Union
Peace Conference – 21st Century Panglong was held yesterday morning at the
National Reconciliation and Peace Centre in Nay Pyi Taw.
Meeting
attendees discussed by titles the policy proposals from the political sector
that remain to be considered in the second session of Union Peace Conference –
21st Century Panglong.
In
his concluding speech, UPDJC secretary U Khin Zaw Oo said there is a need to
submit to the next meeting ideas representing each group after conducting group
discussions in this meeting.
The
titles and topics discussed in this roundtable meeting will be re-discussed
within each group, after which another roundtable meeting will be held.
Present
at the meeting were representatives of the groups from the government,
Tatmadaw, and ethnic nationals.
