UNDER the supervision of the Chin State Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committee, 400-volt electricity lines are being reinstalled along Thitsa Road in Falam Township.
About
seven miles of the township’s 26 miles long 400-volt power lines were
previously damaged during terror attacks.
Deputy
Minister for Border Affairs Maj-Gen Kyaw Swa Oo and officials inspected the
rerouting of the electricity lines to facilitate the resumption of power
distribution through the main power line and a small hydropower plant.
The
deputy minister also inspected the renovation and repair of government staff
housing and offices in Falam Township.
Rehabilitation
and reconstruction work is also underway in Tiddim and Tonzang townships. In
Tiddim, construction materials, school furniture and textbooks supplied by the
State were handed over for the renovation of Htanywet Village Basic Education
Middle School. In Tonzang, the deputy minister and members of the Township
Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committee inspected renovation work at the
Township Road Department’s guesthouse, Youth Training School office and Basic
Education High School.
