Efforts underway to promote agricultural and livestock-based industries in Pyay

Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win inspected livestock breeding and industrial production activities aimed at promoting agricultural and livestock-based industries in Pyay Township on 22 August.

During his visit to the Pyay Livestock Zone, the chief minister observed local goat and broiler farming practices, instructed relevant officials to facilitate the cultivation of feed crops and promote the production and sale of organic fertilizer made of animal waste, and inspected the site of a planned earth-filled embankment dam intended to ensure an adequate supply of drinking water for the zone.

The chief minister also visited industrial facilities in the Nawaday Industrial Zone, including the workshop of entrepreneur U Kyin Oo, which manufactures SOGO water tanks and ice chests, and the Chinthaymin rice mill owned by U Tin Hla, where discarded rice husks are recycled into fuel pellets.

At the Pyay Industrial Zone Management Committee Office, the chief minister instructed zone officials to ensure smooth access to the zone, maintain a stable electricity supply, and systematically record the products manufactured in the zone for both domestic consumption and export.

Finally, he visited the facility of entrepreneur Daw Htay Htay Maw, which produces locally made chicken feed using domestic raw materials to replace imported feed and operates a flock of 10,000 layers. To support business expansion, the chief minister coordinated with relevant officials to assist in expanding the operation to include meat and broiler chicken production.
