Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker Receives Belarusian Party Delegation

 

Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker U Aung Lin Dwe received a delegation led by Ms Olga Chemodanova, Chairperson of the Belaya Rus Party of Belarus, at the Amyotha Hluttaw Reception Hall in the Hluttaw complex in Nay Pyi Taw at 10 am yesterday.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on strengthening relations between the legislatures of Myanmar and Belarus to promote closer ties between the peoples of both countries. They also discussed enhancing mutual trust and understanding, expanding cooperation based on mutual respect, promoting political dialogue, and economic and social cooperation between the two nations.

Also attending the meeting were Amyotha Hluttaw Deputy Speaker Jeng Phang Naw Taung, the chairpersons of the International Relations Committee and the Government’s Guarantees, Pledges and Undertakings Vetting Committee, the chairperson and secretary of the Myanmar-Belarus Parliamentary Friendship Association, and officials from the Amyotha Hluttaw Office.
