MoL Union Minister receives delegation led by IOM Chief

 

Union Minister for Labour U Khin Maung Soe received a delegation led by Mr Daihei Mochizuki, Chief of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), at the Ministry of Labour yesterday afternoon.

During the meeting, they exchanged views on the ongoing cooperation between the Ministry of Labour and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), issues relating to migrant workers, procedures for obtaining entry visas and domestic travel arrangements for IOM staff, the activities of the Migrant Workers Resource Centre (MRC), and the work programmes the Ministry intends to implement.

The meeting was also attended by the deputy minister, directors-general, responsible officials from the Ministry of Labour, and representatives from the IOM office.
