Responsible Business & Natural Resources Development Committee sets future roadmap

THE Responsible Business and Natural Resources Development Committee of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) might have many tasks to undertake in collaboration with the government, said Committee Chair, Daw Khine Khine Nwe.

She gave these remarks during the first coordination meeting of the committee held on 21 January at the UMFCCI meeting hall, according to the UMFCCI press release issued in the afternoon of 19 February.

“As there may be many tasks that need to be undertaken jointly with the government, it is necessary to carefully define the committee’s objectives, policies, and strategies. We will collaborate with all committee members to achieve the committee’s objectives and vision. It is also necessary to review, amend, and supplement the duties and authorities and submit them accordingly,” she said.

The committee members provided necessary data and recommendations regarding the review and amendment of duties and authorities, and discussed issues related to online scams that may be encountered in the future.
