THE Myanmar Construction Entrepreneurs Federation (MCEF) has announced the opening of Batch 1 of a Building Renovation Masonry training course in Mandalay, which aims to train up to 100 participants.
The
free masonry training will run for one month, from 18 February to 18 March.
Currently, Batch 1 in the first location is underway with an initial group of
20 trainees.
Project
Team Leader U Myo Nyunt and trainers U Khin Maung Myint, U Khaing Zaw Win, U
Phyo Linn Aung, and U Yan Naing explained several key aspects of the industry,
including the objectives of the training and the On-the-Job Training (OJT)
system, trainee codes of conduct and the mandatory use of Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE) for safety, specialized construction topics such as working at
heights, electrical hazards, and equipment safety, and house keeping, waste
management, emergency response, and safety communication (Toolbox Talks).
The
programme is structured to train 20 participants per location across five
different sites to reach the 100-person goal. According to MCEF, the primary
objective is to disseminate technical construction knowledge, and the course is
open to anyone with basic masonry skills.
