MoC Union Minister receives Chinese Ambassador

 

Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant received Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar Ms Ma Jia yesterday at the Ministry of Construction in Nay Pyi Taw.

Both sides discussed ongoing Myanmar-China cooperation based on mutual friendship, including China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) projects, as well as strategic projects along the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor. They exchanged views openly on implementing these projects, China’s possible support in reconstruction and new construction efforts following the earthquake in Mandalay and technical and material assistance for building works. They also discussed further areas of cooperation in the construction sector between the two countries.
