Myanmar-Bangladesh commence joint patrol

Myanmar’s Border Guard Police and Bangladesh’s Border Guard Bangladesh have reportedly performed 14 joint patrols around border checkpoints 42 and 55 from 4 to 26 February.

The Myanmar Police Force has announced that these joint patrols have effectively prevented terrorist activities along the border, illegal immigration and illegal trading. It also said the relations between the two countries’ border police have improved, leading to the timely exchange of information and successful upkeep of the rule of law.
