State Counsellor, EU Special Rep discuss promotion of human rights, Rakhine issue

State Counsellor and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs Daw Aung San Suu Kyi received European Union Special Representative for Human Rights H.E Mr. Stavros Lambrinidis who is going to attend the 4th Myanmar-EU Human Rights Dialogue in Myanmar, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

During the meeting, they exchanged views on matters pertaining to the further cooperation between Myanmar and the European Union on protection and promotion of Human Rights, and situation in Rakhine State, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting was also attended by Union Minister for International Cooperation U Kyaw Tin, the Director-General of the Political Department U Soe Han and other officials.
