Union
Minister for Information Dr. Pe Myint received Wouter Jurgens, ambassador of
the Netherlands to Myanmar, at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Information
in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
During
the meeting, they discussed matters related to press releases on Rakhine State;
sending of diplomats, representatives of international non-governmental
organisations and media groups to Rakhine state; the improvement in the democratisation
process in Myanmar; the status of drawing up amendments to media laws; and
press freedom measures.
Also
present at the meeting were Deputy Minister U Aung Hla Tun and officials.
