Prevention
of infectious diseases to cattle was carried out in the surrounding villages of
Pantawpyin camp, Maungtaw Township yesterday, according to the Livestock
Breeding and Veterinary Department in Rakhine State.
Township
veterinary teams gave medical care to seven cattle and 11 goats from a nearby
village of Pantawpyin animal camp, four cattle and five goats from villages
near the Khonetine camp, and nine cattle and 14 goats from surrounding villages
in Ngakhura camp – a total of 20 cattle and 30 goats from nearby villages of
the three animal camps.
A
total of 172 cattle and 476 goats are receiving medical treatment at the animal
camps. Educational brochures were also distributed to local villagers.
