Myanmar played
an important game by beating Indonesia 3-2 in Group (A) of the 2017 AFF Futsal
Championship in Phu Tho indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam by charming
all three win matches in the group possessing full 9 points and secured the
semi-finals with the first position while Vietnam in the second.
The game was
very important as both teams played patiently with their utmost effort
throughout the match. Myanmar got an opening goal just three minutes of the
match with striker Pyae Phyo Maung scoring brilliantly. After the goal, Myanmar
had numerous shots but fail to convert them into goals.
However,
Indonesia’s Syauqi Saud equalized it at the eighth minute mark, by shooting
into the roof of the net. Myanmar played tough in the
second half and Pyae Phyo Maung was again on target and gave his team the lead
at the 24 minute while Myanmar Captain Aung Aung eased the pressure on his team
with a third goal scoring at the 35 minute.
After Myanmar’s
goals, Indonesia used power play and Bambang Bayu Saptaji got his shot in,
unfortunately it was too late for the Indonesians.
The semi-finals
will play on 1 November and the final match is slotted for 3 November.
Fantastically,
Myanmar futsal player Pyae Pyo Maung is standing as the most goal scorer of the
tourney. Because of getting the chance to semifinal of the current tourney,
Myanmar team has also qualified for the first time ever to the AFC Futsal
Championship that will be hosted in 2018 in Chinese Taipei.
