As a final
decisive match of the MNL Max Cement Cup 2017 Championship, Shan United FC
played against Hanthawaddy United FC at Taunggyi Stadium yesterday afternoon.
Shan won with a
big margin 4-0 result and secured the champion of the MNL Max Cement Cup. It
was the very first time for Shan to win the tourney’s champion.
Shan United
dominated the match from the beginning and got an opening goal at 26 minute
mark scored by Shan’s player Zin Min Tun.
The goal shocks
Hanthawaddy players to make speedy and responsive actions but all the efforts
were blurred as Shan’s defenders were too good to concede the goal.
The match was
getting hotter and Shan’s best efforts could be seen in the second half by two
consecutive goals that was scored by Soe Min Oo at 59 minute and 90 minute and
the fourth goals by Christopher in just before the final whistle. Although
Yangon United won against Chin United 7-0 in their final match, they were just
pleased with second position of this year’s tournament with 2 points difference
compared to Shan. Both Shan and Yangon have already secured for 2018 AFC Cup
that will be started in January 2018.
