off Taung Byone Festival which is originally scheduled to hold from 31 July to
7 August till the Seasonal Inflenza A (H1N1) pdm 2009 is under control.
The meeting was held at the meeting hall of the office of Mandalay Regional Government in the afternoon of 30 July. H1N1 is easily infectious through the respiratory tract to other people and the H1N1 break out is coinciding with Taung Byone Festival. There are about 100,000 people visiting daily Taung Byone Festival and it is of great concern for people to allow such a huge crowd gathering in a place while the H1N1 is spreading fast among people. Therefore the Regional Government had to decide to put off the Taung Byone Festival.
