President U Htin Kyaw and wife, pay respects to head of Shwe Kyin Religious Order, receive advice from Sayadaws

President U Htin Kyaw and wife paid respects to the head of the Shwe Kyin Religious Order Sayadaw receiving medical treatment at the Mandalay General Hospital and received advice from Sayadaws from Sangha organizations at different levels yesterday afternoon.

President U Htin Kyaw and wife Daw Su Su Lwin arrived in Mandalay by air from Nay Pyi Taw, and paid respects to Abhidhaja Maharattha Guru Abhidhaja Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotika Bhaddanta Agghiya, head of the Shwe Kyin Religious Order at the Intensive Care Unit in Mandalay General Hospital accompanied by Union Ministers Dr Myo Thein Gyi, Dr Myint Htwe, Thura U Aung Ko, Dr Zaw Myint Maung, Chief Minister of Mandalay Region Cabinet, U Aung Kyaw Oo, Speaker of Mandalay Region Hluttaw, Major General Win Bo Shein, Commander of Central Command and donated offertories.

Afterwards, the President and wife attended the ceremony to receive the words of advice and guidance from Reverend Sayadaws from religious orders held at the Great Convocation Hall of the Mandalay State Pariyatti Sasana University.

At the ceremony, President U Htin Kyaw supplicated the Sayadaws solemnly that he was very happy to pay respects to the Sayadaws and at the same time to receive words of advice. Vice-Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee preached a sermon, “Ways for kings to abide by to avoid destruction,” and the Ten Kingly Code of Conduct of Kings.

Then, the President, his wife and party donated offertories to the Sayadaws.
