Former 100-household head missing in Maungtaw

A former 100-household head who is residing at Ye Aung Creek village in Maungtaw Township, Rakhine State, was reported as missing, according to the Taungpyo Police Station. Phway Yar, alias Phway Yar Zu Hauk, was engaged in the shrimp farming business.

Four people came to buy shrimp at his shrimp breeding pond and abducted him from his house on Saturday morning, it was reported.

Ma Arzita, alias Artumuch, wife of Phway Yar Zu Hauk, told the Taungpyo Police Station on Sunday afternoon that her husband had not come back home.
