Five involved in violent armed attacks in Maungtaw Township arrested

It is learnt that five people who got involved in Maungtaw armed attack were arrested on Sunday.

The government troops and border guard control police forces have been trying to find out and investigate those who were involved in the violent armed attacks in Maungtaw last year. At about noon on Sunday, five fugitives who it was learnt were involved in Maungtaw armed attack were arrested.
Those five were Inu, son of Nadu Husaung, living in Ngakhura Village (middle), Swe Dulami, son of Abba Dula, living in Ngayantchaung Village, Mamud Karsin, son of Zawlarmauk, Shuhat, son of Muzinmay and Mamad Idaris, son of Adumalis, living in Padakar Village.
According to the confessions of those arrested, they took part in armed attacks in Ngakhura and Kyikanpyin villages, giving monetary aid and recruiting new members for a terrorist group. They were arrested while entering their respective villages, it is learnt.
