Six
villagers from Mongko village, Moemeik Township, were forcibly abducted by the
Ta’an National Liberation Army (TNLA) on Sunday evening. Security forces are
searching for the missing villagers.
The
victims were reportedly taken away forcibly at 9:30 pm by six members of TNLA
armed force with false accusation that they were abusing and dealing drugs. The
victims are three men including U Saw Maung living at Mong Bon village 8 miles
northeast of Moemeik Township and three women. They were all taken in the
direction of Pan Haing village. Security forces continue to investigate.
