Over 300 guests attended the 1st ‘Black-Tie’
Fundraiser & Auction Event on the 25th Nov 2016 hosted by the Sedona Hotel
Yangon for the Daw Khin Kyi Foundation in aid of their community programs for
the under-privileged in Myanmar.
The Gala and Auction which took place at the hotel raised over USD 121,000 through ticket sales, sponsorships and auction items, making the premiere fundraiser event for the Daw Khin Kyi Foundation the most successful one.
The main attraction of the evening was a replica of the now famous painting by State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, made in 1990, which was printed onto a T-Shirt and autographed by Her Excellency.
From a starting bid of USD 5,000, the bidding quickly sped up and concluded with the winning bid by U Soe Naing Tun of Myint Tun Oo Gems and Jewellery.
