On 16th November, our
journalist team covered a story about activities provided by ARG (Arakan
Rakkhita Group) to locals in Kha Yay Myaing village.
On the way back, we
stopped at the Monastery of Khayay Myaing village to pay homage to the monk.
The Monk (Sayadaw) expressed his feelings to the locals for the need to conduct
more security, to devote to religion and to be united in the village.
After that, we passed
through Bawdigone and Waitharli villages where we saw the peaceful livelihoods
of the locals such as harvesting, winnowing, growing seasonal crops, fishing,
and students going back to schools and 3-wheel-cycles in the village.
On 12th November, while
we are crossing Maungtaw-Kyein Chaung road, we heard a clash far away. The
incident was violent attackers on a car on the road. On the 13th, that incident
was reported in the newspapers. And we learnt that area clearance
operations were being conducted the next day.
On the 13th, our team
witnessed the peaceful condition of villages along the road in southern
Maungtaw, even it wasn’t back to the previous condition yet.
When we arrived in
Maungtaw on the 10th November, we found that the town was
booming with the opening of markets, stalls, restaurants and tea shops.
On the full moon day of
Tazaungmone which falls on the 14th, monasteries and religious buildings were
teeming with the Buddhist devotes who were donating Kathina robes.
On the 16th, while
covering news around town, we found that Maungtaw Myoma Market was peaceful and
crowded with buyers and sellers as well as in the Ward-2 Market.
In the markets, we could
see that some local villagers were selling local products and they went back to
their villages to get their necessary things.
Moreover, public and
private banks were open and we would like to inform you all Maungtaw and its
environs are now peaceful and now back to normal.

စည္းစည္းလုံးလုံး ညီညီ ညြတ္ညြတ္ျဖင့္ ရွိေစလုိမႈ စသည့္ ေစတနာ စကားမ်ားကို
မိန္႕ၾကားခဲ့သည္။
