Mya Marlar Park near the strand road
in Myaung Mya township in the Ayeyarwady region, will be
upgraded to a recreation center for the public, said Regional Hluttaw
representative U Thant Zaw Win at a meeting on 4th November.
The meeting was held by regional
Hluttaw representatives, members of Township Administration Committee, members
of Township Development Committee, and township elders.
Township development Committee
Chairman U Khin Maung Soe and the Executive Officer explained renovation plans
for Mya Marlar park, and the reconstruction of stalls in front of the park in
accord with the City’s character. Town elders and owners of shops also
participated.
The cost of upgrading will be taken
from the township beautifying Fund of the Committee for 2017-2018 Financial
year. In upgrading the stalls, the Development Committee will not be involved.
In upgrading the park as a public
area, the following will be done: renovation of road, fencing, fixing handrails
at the side of the river bank, paving concrete roads in the park, public
toilets construction, fixing security bulbs and beautifying colorful bulbs and
lamp posts and construction of benches for the public, said U Hla Oo, senior
Engineer of Development Committee.
