Living In Unity: Full Security After Attack

Security measures have been taking place in Maungtaw District of Rakhine State since the attack happened in early October.

5 soldiers have died during the clearing operation, and some suspects to the attack have been arrested and investigations are underway. 
In TaungPyoLetwe Township, people live peacefully without engaging in any problems. It has 5900 population in 697 households, and local ethnics including Rakhine, Bamar, Dinet and Maramagyi as well as the Islam community are living in unity. 
Administrator , Taung Pyo Letwe Township, Than Aung: The situation of our township is in normalcy. People are dealing their daily work as usual. We’ve never met with the problems since long time ago. We use to engage farming and prawn breeding for livelihood.
Most of Dinet ethnic reside in Thinbaw Hla Village, and it has about 600 populations in 150 household. 
Administrator, Thinbaw Hla Village, Sein Tun: We don’t have any concerns here. We have full security measure. No one has fled from our village. Moreover, we are living in this land since our ancestors’ time, and will never leave our land. 
TaungPyoLetwe has been designated as the township in 2003, and it comprised with 10 village-tracts in 5 wards.
