Elephant Resort Camp was opened at the Elephant Conversation and Machinery
Camp in Bago (South) Timber Production Region on November 3.

General Manager U Tun Tun Oo of Bago region (East) Myanma Timber Enterprise
said the elephant camp was opened with the aim of recreation for locals as well
as for tourists. They also aim to create job opportunities for staff’s families
in the camp. U Kyaw Min Zan, Regional Minister for National Resources and
Environmental Conservation formally opened the camp by cutting the ribbon and
feeding the Elephants.
From
1st to 3rd November, training to tame the elephants was given by international
experts to 20 trainees and 5 observers. Elephant shows will take place from 8
am to 9 am daily. The public and visitors can tour the camp and observe
elephants bathing in the creek while riding elephants for 25 minutes is
available from 9 am to 10 am daily.
