A traditional
alms-offering ceremony was held at the wards of Ye New Su and Magyi Myaing in
Sittwe Township on 1st waning day of Tazaungmone (November 15).
About 200 Buddhist
Monks and nuns from respective monasteries and nunneries in Sittwe Township
received alms along May Yu street, Kyaungyi street, Magyi Myaing street .
Donors offered alms, soft-drinks and purified drinking water bottles.
“In this ward, it is a
tradition. We are very pleased to get merit. This ceremony was organized by
young people in this ward.They reminded us about the ceremony around the ward
by loudspeaker before the full moon day of Tazaungmone. We have cooked food and
curries which will be offered to monks on the night of full moon of
Tazaungmone. Some people collected offerings in advance and they offered
those items to the monks on 1st waning day of Tazaungmone” said Daw Mya Nu from
Ye New Su ward in Sittwe Township.
The ceremony has been
held annually since 2000 and this year is the 16 time.

သိရသည္။

ရဟန္းသာမေဏ ၂ဝဝ ခန္႔၊ သီလရွင္မ်ားသည္ ရဲႏြယ္စု ရပ္ကြက္မွ စတင္ကာ ေမယုလမ္း၊ ေက်ာင္းႀကီးလမ္း၊
မက်ည္းၿမိဳင္လမ္းမအတိုင္း ဆြမ္းခံၾကြ ေတာ္မူၾကရာ လမ္းတစ္ေလွ်ာက္ရွိ အလွဴရွင္မ်ားက ဆြမ္း၊
ခဲဘြယ္မ်ား၊ အခ်ဳိရည္ႏွင့္ ေရသန္႔ဘူးမ်ား ေလာင္းလွဴ ၾကသည္။
''ဒီရပ္ကြက္မွာ ခုလိုပိ႑ပါတ္ဆြမ္း
ေလာင္းလွဴတာ အစဥ္အလာျဖစ္ေနပါၿပီ။ အလြန္ေပ်ာ္ဖို႔ ေကာင္း သလို ကုသိုလ္လည္း ရပါတယ္။ ရပ္ကြက္ကလူငယ္၊
လူလတ္ေတြကစုၿပီး တန္ေဆာင္မုန္း လျပည့္ မတိုင္မီ စီစဥ္ၾကတယ္။
အသံခ်ဲ႕ စက္ေတြန႔ဲလွည့္လည္ၿပီး
ႏိႈးေဆာ္ၾကတယ္။ တန္ေဆာင္မုန္း လျပည့္ညမွာ ရပ္ကြက္ေတြမွာ အဖြဲ႕လိုက္ စုေပါင္းလို႔ ျဖစ္ျဖစ္၊
မိမိအိမ္မွာျဖစ္ျဖစ္ ဆြမ္းန႔ဲဟင္းေတြကိုခ်က္ၾကတယ္။ အခ်ဳိ႕ ဆိုရင္ လွဴမယ့္ပစၥည္းေတြကို
စုေဆာင္း ၾကတယ္၊ လျပည့္ေက်ာ္တစ္ရက္ေန႔ အ႐ုဏ္တက္မွာ သံဃာေတာ္ ေတြကို ေလာင္းလွဴၾကပါတယ္''
ဟု စစ္ေတြၿမိဳ႕ ရဲႏြယ္စုရပ္ကြက္မွ ေဒၚျမႏုက ေျပာသည္။

လွဴပြဲေတာ္ကို ၂ဝဝဝ ျပည့္ႏွစ္မွစတင္ ကာ ျပဳလုပ္ျခင္းျဖစ္ၿပီး ယခုႏွစ္တြင္ (၁၆)ႀကိမ္ေျမာက္
ရွိၿပီျဖစ္ေၾကာင္း၊ ႏွစ္စဥ္ တန္ေဆာင္တိုင္ပြဲေတာ္၏ တန္ေဆာင္မုန္း လျပည့္ေက်ာ္တစ္ရက္
ေန႔အ႐ုဏ္တက္အခ်ိန္တြင္ ေလာင္းလွဴၾကျခင္းျဖစ္ေၾကာင္း သိရသည္။
