A Tatmadaw delegation comprising senior officers and other ranks of the Army, Navy and Air arrived back in Myanmar yesterday after a friendship visit to India aimed at strengthening relations and cooperation between the two Tatmadaws and promoting cultural exchanges.
The delegation departed Nay Pyi Taw
for Gaya, India, on 29 September. During their visit, they paid homage to the
Mahabodhi Temple, Bodh Gaya, and visited the Officers Training Academy (OTA). A
dinner was also hosted for the delegation by Indian officials.
The delegation was welcomed at the
airport by officials from the Nay Pyi Taw Command and the Indian Defence Attaché
to Myanmar, Colonel Arjun N Singh.
