MYANMAR and Vietnam held discussions on increasing bilateral investment and jointly addressing economic challenges, according to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI).
The meeting took place on 29
September at the UMFCCI office, where UMFCCI President U Aye Win received
Vietnamese Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Nguyen Anh Duc and his delegation.
The discussions followed the Vietnam
Myanmar Business Forum 2026 held on 6 September at the Melia Hotel in Hanoi.
Both sides explored opportunities for future economic cooperation, plans to
organize a follow up seminar, and ways to overcome shared economic challenges
through joint efforts. Attendees included UMFCCI President U Aye Win, Vice
President Dr Win Si Thu, Counsellor Mr Le Dinh An from the Vietnamese Embassy,
UMFCCI Secretary General Daw Khine Khine Nwe and Joint Secretaries U Myo Thant,
U Ye Myint Maung, and Daw Nan Kalaya Win.
