Vice-President U Nyo Saw, currently in Vladivostok in the Russian Federation to attend the 11th Far Eastern Economic Forum to be held in Vladivostok, met Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mr Yury Petrovich Trutnev in Vladivostok at 3:30 pm local standard time yesterday.
During
the meeting, they frankly exchanged views on Myanmar-Russia bilateral
relations, cooperation in the education sector, the development of Dawei Deep-Sea
Port and Special Economic Zone, and the implementation of cooperation in the
energy, economic, trade and tourism sectors. They also discussed the topics of
the opening of the Consulate-General of Myanmar in Vladivostok, the Russian
Federation.
In
the afternoon, the Vice-President received Mr Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the
President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the Forum
Organizing Committee, and Mr Alexander Stuglev, Director of the Roscongress
Foundation, in Vladivostok, separately.
Also
present at the meetings were Union Minister for Electricity and Energy U Ko Ko
Lwin, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Ko Ko Kyaw, Deputy Minister for
Digital Development and Communications U Min Zeyar Hlaing, Myanmar Ambassador U
Myo Moe Aung and officials.
