Guna Visitha Puja ceremony, 46th Maha/Cula graduation ceremony held

 

The Guna Visitha Puja Ceremony and the 46th Maha/Cula Graduation Ceremony were held yesterday at 1 pm at Aung San Hall in Tatkon.

The ceremony was attended by the Presiding Patron of Shwe Inn Yeiktha Monastery and Township Ovadacariya Sayadaw, Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru title holder Bhaddanta Neminda; Member of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee and Shwe Inn Yeiktha Monastery Sayadaw Bhaddanta Paññasami; the Chairman of the Township Sangha Nayaka Association; Supervisory Board Sayadaws; Sayadaws and nuns who received titles presented by the Union Government on Independence Day 2026; Sanghas and nuns who received honours in the Government Dhammacariya and Pali Pahtamapyan examinations; Dhammacariya graduate monks and nuns; senior, middle and junior Pahtamapyan monks and nuns; Deputy Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw U Maung Maung Ohn; Nay Pyi Taw Council Member U Aung Zeya and officials; township authorities; the Chairman and members of the Township Upathambhaka Committee; and donors.

The biographies of the Sayadaws and nuns who received the honorary titles was read out.
The Pyithu Hluttaw Deputy Speaker supplicated to Sayadaws and monks on religious matters.
The Deputy Speaker and the congregation presented the respective titles, MRTV DTH satellite receivers, donations and cash awards to the Ovadacariya Sayadaws, Supervisory Sayadaws, graduate Sayadaws, and Dhammacariya and Pahtamapyan graduate monks and nuns.
