AUTHORITIES have taken legal action against individuals and organizations accused of supporting, encouraging or providing financial assistance to CRPH, NUG and affiliated PDF groups, which have been designated as terrorist organizations.
NUG
established the People’s Revolution Supply Family (PRF) website
https://form.prfhq.modnug.org to raise funds for its activities and long-term
operations through Wave Pay, NUG Pay, SDB Bank, cryptocurrency and
foreign-currency payment systems.
Based on
information provided by dutiful civilians, authorities identified the details
of more than 2,700 people who allegedly provided financial support to the PRF
website, including around 700 through Wave Pay, 1,000 through NUG Pay and 1,000
through SDB Bank.
Following
investigations, 21 individuals accused of transferring funds to the PRF website
were identified and arrested. They were from various townships, including
Mohnyin, Lashio, Shwe Nyaung, Patheingyi, PyinOoLwin, Pyinmana, Zabuthiri,
Hlegu, Dagon Myothit (North), Dagon Myothit (East), Dagon Myothit (South),
Mingaladon, Hl ine, Kyimyindine, Seikkyi Khanaungto, Pathein, Dedaye, Maubin
and Kyaunggon.
The arrested
individuals will face legal action. Further investigations are underway to
identify and arrest other individuals allegedly linked to the PRF website.
Wave Pay accounts identified in connection with the case will also be closed
and confiscated in accordance with the law.
The public is
urged not to support or provide financial assistance to CRPH, NUG or other
groups designated as terrorist organizations, and officials encouraged people
with relevant information to report it confidentially to the authorities.
